Information We Collect

• Photos you upload: To generate location predictions, you must submit photos. Images are uploaded to our storage provider to process your request.
• Prediction data: We may store prediction outputs (e.g., coordinates, confidence, metadata like timestamps) for troubleshooting, improving the service and to provide users with historical data.
• Usage and device info: Basic analytics and log data (e.g., pages viewed, browser type) to help us operate and improve the site.
• Security data: We use reCAPTCHA to protect the service, which may collect device and interaction data per Google’s policies.
• Payment information: Payments for prediction credits are processed by Stripe. We do not store any payment information. Stripe processes personal data according to its own privacy policy.

How We Use Information

• Provide and operate the AI photo location prediction service.
• Deliver the Picatle daily geography game.
• Process payments and manage prediction credits via Stripe.
• Prevent abuse, ensure security, and comply with legal obligations.
• Improve accuracy and reliability of the product.

Data Sharing

We share data with service providers strictly to operate our services, including cloud storage, analytics, security (e.g., reCAPTCHA), and payments (Stripe). We do not sell personal information.

Data Retention

We retain uploaded photos and related prediction data only as long as necessary to provide the service, improve functionality, and meet legal or operational requirements.

Best-effort deletion: If you request deletion, please include the full image URL or filename (if available), the approximate upload date/time, and, if present, your browser-stored user identifier used by our service. We will make a reasonable effort to locate and delete the corresponding data. Residual copies may remain in backups and logs for a limited period as part of normal operations.

For full data deletion, including deletion of the uploaded image file itself, we require the exact image name/filename that was uploaded. Without the exact filename, we cannot guarantee complete deletion.

Your Choices

• You may choose not to upload a photo; however, predictions require one.
• You may request deletion of your data where applicable. For full deletion (including the image file), you must provide the exact image name/filename that was uploaded. To help us locate your image, also include the full image URL (if available), the approximate upload date/time, and (if available) your browser-stored user identifier used on our site. • If you used private browsing or cleared browser storage, we may not be able to retrieve identifiers needed to locate specific data.
• You can manage cookies via your browser settings.

Children’s Privacy

Our services are not directed to children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal data, contact us and we will take appropriate steps.

Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect information. No system is 100% secure.

We may update this Privacy Policy. Material changes will be indicated by updating the effective date below.
